It\u2019s like having a constant jam partner who never suffers from performance anxiety, never gets stuck and never says, \u201cI think we need to take a break\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That doesn\u2019t mean that AI writes the song for you. It means you don\u2019t have to stare at a blank project in your DAW and wonder why you ever got into music in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music isn\u2019t just the end result. It\u2019s the process, the struggle, the frustration, the joy, the swearing, and that moment when you realise you have to start all over again. If you take away the human element, you take away the soul. Then it\u2019s just noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let\u2019s be honest: That is exactly what every musician already does.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are hardly any:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • a rhythm<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • a chord progression<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • a melodic phrase<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • an mixing idea<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u2026which hasn\u2019t been done before. Musicians draw inspiration from everything they hear. They borrow, reshape, transform, distort and build on it. That\u2019s how music works. That\u2019s how music has always worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Blues guitarists play phrases that are older than their great-grandfather. EDM producers use structures that are so standardised you could set your watch by them. Pop songs follow melodic patterns that have been culturally ingrained since the Stone Age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It\u2019s not theft. It\u2019s tradition. It\u2019s evolution. It\u2019s music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    AI does the same thing \u2013 only faster and with a better memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Conclusion \u2013 the future is a duet between humans and machines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    AI is not the enemy. Nor is it the saviour. It is a tool. A powerful, sometimes irritating, sometimes brilliant tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
