The lyrics were originally in Swedish and had more of a ‘Deep Depression Mode’ feel to them. They turned out much better after the English translation. There was a musical template, but once Suno got his teeth into it, that template was scrapped. Suno can produce a lot of rubbish if you don’t keep him in check, but every now and then you’re amazed by the result. This was one of those times.
The song is a ‘farewell’ to her children and, in a way, an explanation of why things turned out the way they did, even though her children aren’t there. Sometimes you make the wrong choices and have to face the consequences.
